Things We Don’t Say IPA: Craft Beer for Mental Health

We along with Eagle Park Brewing, Hollingbery & Son, Inc. Hop Company and Hope for the Day are inviting the collective independent craft beer community to smash the stigma surrounding mental health with the release of Things We Don’t Say IPA: Craft Beer for Mental Health.

The Things We Don’t Say IPA project was created to help shift how we approach mental health by encouraging people to talk about their experiences and feeling, both good and bad, and to demonstrate the importance of asking for help when we need it.

Things We Don’t Say IPA is a call to empower breweries from around the globe to use their platforms to stand up for those who suffer in silence with their mental health, be it with anxiety, depression, or other mental illness.

Named after Hope For The Day’s flagship mental health education curriculum, Things We Don’t Say IPA is a 6% IPA being released in May 2021, in conjunction with Hope For The Days’ Shake the Stigma awareness campaign for Mental Health Month 2021.

Note: If your brewery doesn’t brew IPAs, you’re still invited to join us, we just ask that you use water in your recipe.

This is an effort among the Craft Beer community and its supporters to encourage everyone to start the conversation about their mental health, as well as bring attention to the available mental health services in our respective areas, which can be found using the Hope For The Day Resource Compass located at hftd.org/find-help.

We are proud to be offering all Malts (and Oats!) for your brew at 30% off! Our desire is to reduce your costs to allow for greater support of this project.
