A Shared Passion For Craft

Growing Barley

Malteurop sources from the most fertile barley growing regions in the U.S. and Canada. Including US states: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Wyoming. Canada includes the Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta territories. We have tailored involvement on both sides of the Malthouse through our exclusive Grain Origination partnerships that connect us with barley and specialty grain growers in the field. Together, we secure a ready and reliable supply of barley to our malting facilities—and on to our craft-brewing customers.

Support Our Farmers

We’ve been working with some of our farmers from the beginning. We have global access to barley but most importantly we support our North American farms first. We are committed to local farmers. Our Barley Procurement specialists work directly with our farmers to ensure the highest quality barley in the market today.

Malting

The difficulty, and also the fascination, of our maltsters’ craft is their ability to transform living, natural products that are variable by nature into a variety of standardized products that deliver highly consistent flavors, colors, aromas and performance. With our extensive knowledge of malting and meticulous formulation and testing, we deliver the highest quality, premium malts that match our brewers’ specifications consistently and reliably, time after time.

Technical Service & Quality Assurance

We dedicate ourselves to the highest levels of technical service provided by one of the few Diploma Master Maltsters in the world, a Ph.D. in Fermentation, and a M.Sc. in Cereal and Food Science. Our six-member Technical Services Team has a combined 107 years of experience at Malteurop and ensures the quality of every batch through detailed analysis at our lab in Great Falls, MT.
