The opening of Malteurop’s new distribution supercenter in Winona, Minnesota, continues a commitment to providing superb customer service, featuring milling of the entire MMC product line.
Milwaukee, Wisc. (JANUARY 7, 2026) – As part of its continued commitment to quality and customer support, MMC, one of the leading suppliers of North American Grown and Malted products and imported malts to North American craft brewers and distillers, is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of its newest U.S. distribution center.
Based in Winona, Minnesota, across the road from one of MMC’s four North American malthouses, this new distribution supercenter allows MMC to continue its industry leading commitment to providing the highest quality, freshest malt possible.
A key feature of the new supercenter is the ability to mill MMC’s entire product line. This on-demand capability allows MMC full control over the grind to provide the consistency in quality and freshness that its customers have come to expect.
“This strategic investment transforms our operations. By bringing all milling in-house right next to our inventory, we have full control over the grind consistency and ensure every batch is milled just moments before shipment,” said Malteurop North American General Manager, Darrin Peterson.
“This means our customers are guaranteed the highest quality, freshest ingredients every time, providing a reliable foundation and complete solution for their own product needs.”
The Midwest Distribution Center is adjacent to the Winona malthouse, allowing MMC unparalleled control over malt quality. It does so while simultaneously supporting Malteurop’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and lowers CO2 emissions.
MMC began operations at the Midwest Distribution Center during October 2025. In addition to the immediate benefits to customers, the new distribution supercenter positions MMC for growth, offering the flexibility to meet customers’ future needs as they arise, alongside its continued commitment to sustainability.
Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin – also known as Brew City USA – MMC has malthouses in Great Falls, Montana, and Winona, Minnesota, in the United States; as well as in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada; and Meoqui, Chihuahua in Mexico. MMC also has numerous transload facilities across North America, making bulk delivery of malts especially efficient.
MMC has the capability to meet the malting needs of the largest or smallest breweries and distilleries with distribution centers throughout North America.
