The Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) is back in full swing this year from May 2-5 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Malteurop Malting Company (MMC) is also back in full swing at CBC 2022 with a full slate of events and excitement. From launching a new malt to pouring some amazing beers from our brewer partners to sponsoring Craft Beer in a Can and concert, as well as giving away two free trips to beautiful Montana for our 2022 Barley Days!

 

Come See MMC at Booth 2207

Stop by Booth 2207 to speak with one of our Craft Sales Managers and grab some malt samples, including our Munich 5L. This is a new malt that we just launched ahead of CBC. A little bit lighter than our original Munich malt, Munich 5L is a highly kilned malt, produced using the finest North American spring barley. Our specialized kilning process creates a clean but rich malty flavor and slightly bready and nutty aroma, and golden yellow to light amber hues in the final beer.

 

Munich 5L is best used in up to 60 percent of the grain bill but has the diastatic power to be used as the sole base malt in a beer. Just ask our friends at Pilot Brewing, who in collaboration with Gilde 1546 brewed a Munich Helles with only Munich 5L and a little bit of dextrin malt. Better yet, stop by the MMC Booth 2207 and taste it for yourself. We’ll have a full slate of beers for sampling throughout CBC.

MMC is proud to sponsor Craft Beer in a Can presents Langhorne Slim with the Mae Simpson Band. This is a private party on Wednesday, May 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. Stop by MMC Booth 2207 at the Craft Brewers Conference to see how you can snag some free tickets!

 

Win a Trip to Barley Days in Montana!

One of our cornerstone events each year is our annual Barley Days at our malthouse in Great Falls, Montana. Barley Days is a multi-day event where guests from breweries and distilleries around the country converge on Great Falls to tour our massive malthouse, mingle with farmers in the barley fields to learn about the crop and our breeding program, as well as gathering at local watering holes and restaurants to connect as a brewing community.

 

This year, Barley Days will be held in July in Great Falls. The final dates will be determined soon! When you’re at Booth 2207, be sure to ask us how you can enter to win!
